Fitter & Turner (Trade Tested) (Amanzimtoti)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Run continuous improvement projects
2. Be accountable for Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and related production efficiency KPI’s.
3. Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) & Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) measurement
4. Accountable for the scheduled maintenance plan task, general maintenance tasks and breakdowns
5. Preventative maintenance concepts and programmes.
6. Set standards and ensure maintenance is being done efficiently and effectively.
7. Responsible for spares inventory control.
8. Responsible for ensuring equipment is always running at optimal setting.
9. Working with the safety officer to develop and Maintain safety standards
10. As a member of the Maintenance Team, supports the continuous improvement and growth of Team and assist with general site work where needed.
11. Utilize workshop equipment to make up equipment and spares, as and when needed.
12. Interaction with suppliers for the ordering of equipment, spares and outsourced contract work and breakdown assistance.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Grade 12 (with Mathematics & English as subjects)
2. Trade Tested in Fitting & Turning
3. 5 years + experience working in an FMCG manufacturing environment (post trade test)
4. Have a valid drivers license and own reliable transport
5. Have good communication skills (oral and written)
6. Have a good understanding of Health & Safety and Quality
7. Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment experience will be advantageous.
8. Experience with pumps, mixing vessels, boilers etc. advantageous
9. Be willing to work on a rotational shift basis

RUMUNERATION

Negotiable – depending on qualifications and experience
